Before You Start:

The first and foremost thing which is very much important is to clean and oil the grills. Clean the grates where you are going to BBQ steak. It will help you to turn them properly and prevent from sticking the grates. You have to heat your grills and scrub them properly with a grill brush. Then take some vegetable oil and brush them lightly on the grates. This will create a non-sticky surface for cooking. Then heat it up at a temperature of 320 degrees Celcius (450 degrees Fahrenheit). High heat ensures that the crust of the steak is crispy and sear.

Seasoning:

Now when it comes to seasoning, you have to keep in mind that you need do this at least 40 minutes before you start grilling. Apply salt at least 40 minutes before you start grilling. If you want to make it a bit spicy then add some chili powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Then rub all these properly so that they are evenly spread out on the meat.

Grilling:

Steaks can cook really fast. So, you have to be attentive while you are grilling them. Use a pair of tongs to turn or flip the steaks. Do not use a fork as it can pierce holes into the meat from where all the juices can get released. You will see that the crust is getting crispy and developing a golden-brown crust. But make sure to flip often so that the meat is cooked evenly. Once it is done, you have to use a thermometer to see whether it is well done or not. If the thermometer reads 160 degrees Fahrenheit then it means well done.
